# Splinter Stats Season 54 Report Card

Splinterlands is going crazy and I'm so happy to be a part of it! This season the amount of DEC being distributed has gone up significantly and as a result the rewards skyrocketed. With the start of the Splintershards airdrop everyone is getting additional rewards that may end up making a lot of players wealthy in the future. All of this has led to a lot of excitement in the Splinterlands community.

I made it up to Silver League Tier 2 again this year. This is the maximum level I can reach since Tier 1 is currently locked and inaccessible to me. I'm hoping one day I will open a reward chest and there will be a gold foil Legendary card inside that will propel me in the higher tier. Or I may just rent enough cards to unlock the next tier. toward the end of this season.

My Water splinter cards all did well this season. Led by Ruler of the Seas and Mischievous Mermaid who both have Win Rates of over 80%. Add to those a cheap tank like Spineback Turtle and the boosts that summoner Valnamor gives and I have a team that's hard to beat.

In these lower level matches, I face the Standard ruleset a lot which is fine since it doesn't disadvantage my Water Splinter team at all. Not like Earthquake or Noxious Fumes rulesets that are harder to win with the Water Splinter.

My Reward cards from Reward Chests were unimpressive this season. No gold foils, Epics or Legendaries. Nothing to see here, let's move on. My DEC rewards, now that's something to talk about! I received 2190 DEC from Rank play that's almost triple last seasons amount. I also received 441 from Daily and Season Reward Chests which was a little less than last season. But overall, my total Rewards increased from 2209 DEC last season to 3511 DEC this season. That's a 58% increase!
The amount of SPS I'm getting is just a trickle now, but as I keep hodling DEC and staking the SPS I receive every day, I'm starting to see the trickle increase. I'm hoping it will soon grow into a flood!

Totally agree. I haven't spent any DEC since SPS started and it's definitely increased the SPS that I collect... but... it also means I'm not upgrading any of my cards at the moment which is a real shame.
I put an example in my own Season Report, but I could spend 1000 DEC on a card that would only increase my power by 40 DEC (and therefore my airdrop points by 40)... but I'd have a stronger card that might help me win more matches... so yeah, I don't know what the balance is.
