Steemit #Whynot

Greetings! I am BRAND new SteemIt. I have barely even begun to browse and have figured out very quickly that I have no idea what I am doing outside of some VERY basic navigation. So, I came here to do a quick intro and see what help I can get (judging by the Markdown Guide, I have a lot to learn).

I am a pretty simple guy and I live in the United States. I have done a little work-related traveling to include a little bit of Europe and the Middle East. I like to watch movies, play video games, and scuba dive (if I have a rare opportunity). I am really just dipping my toes in, right now, so I am reluctant to say much more. I am just hoping for a little advice on where to go to learn the systems, here.
