What is Floating Sailboat?
Hey everyone😊, I am completely new to Steemit and am still tinkering with the bells and whistles but I wanted to say hello and welcome you to my page!
I've been asked by friends many times, "So what is Floatingsailboat?" and I smile because in all honesty, it's simply "me" in the truest sense. A boy writting letters atop a sailboat, drifting among the clouds in an endless effort to personify the purest self that Carl Jung wrote about.
If I were in class and was asked an introduction I would probably say something like, "I'm a quiet introvert who runs on coffee and an overactive imagination, oh and please send me chocolate bars" though I dont think that would fare too well for me come to think of it haha. In all simplicity though, Floatingsailboat is the personification of the soul, the Divine aspect that can often be hidden due to the way life unfolds.
It seems that we live in quite a divided ocean sphere of a world, and although I have a background in Psychology and enjoy seeing how our culture develops I must admit that it is quite a sad thing to see. Perhaps I am just an idealist though, but I love how art can transcend language and cultural barriers and bring people together. When I stop and think about it in this way, artists actually partake in the unifying of culture that others have unknowingly unraveled. Therefore, whether my art is lost in the ether or is found and enjoyed I want to contribute to the creative consciousness that drives us forward.
ps. These were made in 2013 using my iPhone 4 (rest in peaces) and having done so helped in teaching myself Photoshop. So if you have any questions and think I can help let me know!😊☕
