Gravity & Pain

Hello all! This is another of my older poems I wrote when I was feeling suicidal years back. I think it's fair to say this poem saved my life, because I originally wrote it as my suicide note, and it purged me of the urge instead. Never underestimate the power of getting your feelings on paper! thanks for reading!~

Gravity & Pain

Gravity is the weakest force known to man. We have the gravity of an entire planet crushing down on us at this very moment. Yet we walk, run, manipulate our environment, and all without a thought of the forces we have to overcome. It is weak. However, when enough gravity collects in one place it becomes a black hole, something that can consume even the brightest stars, with no hope of escape. A darkness that can consume any light...

Pain, like gravity, is weak. We can cut ourselves and soon forget. Broken bones can heal as good as new, and broken hearts can mend to love again. All becoming distant memories. Yet, it too can be built up. Collected and concentrated into wars, prejudice, and every other atrocity of human nature. Until all that is left is something capable of consuming the strongest of wills, with no hope of escape. A darkness that can consume any light...

To whom it may concern.
I am sorry, I could not escape the black hole inside my heart.

Forgive me.
