Help curing cancer with Laetrile

I am helping a friend who has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. My research has brought me to using Laetrile, a B17 compound found in seeds and high in apricot seeds. Does anyone have any experience taking this and any success stories to share? I have no confidence in corporate health practitioners pushing pharmaceutical drugs that are sold to them and much prefer my friend avoids the surgeons knife healing naturally.
