What makes a Crypto Crash?

So today the South Korean minister said this bitcoin is just like gambling? The markets are not taking well to the news since half korea owns btc and crypto! But it could just me more fud and panic the blockchain doesn't pay attention to this stuff does it? I am new to altcoins and following the Crypto markets but this should just be a minor bump in a long bumpy road to decentralization and the ministers not being able to mess with people's freedom and money. Buy the dips and ride the waves!
Anyways this wasn't a crash yet because this is crypto currency and when u get 1000% gains in a week 10-20-50% even in an hour should be expected right?
