High Ground Victory.

We navigated a machine-littered cave, regrouped after an accidental slip into water below. Emerging on high ground, we encountered another Specter. A premature attack broke stealth, forcing a tough firefight. After defeating the fast machine alongside Erend, I spotted a Ravager Cannon that I missed during the battle.

Continuing through the area, I spotted several massive machine carcasses scattered across the ground, likely destroyed during earlier fights with the Specters. Over the comms, Kotallo reported that he and Alva were closing in on a regulator.

As we stepped into a dark cave, Erend admitted the place gave him the creeps, prompting Aloy to tease him gently, promising to protect him.

Trying to leap across a wide gap between two rock ledges, I misjudged the distance and tumbled into the water below. Erend called down from above, jokingly telling me he preferred staying dry while I swam back to land.

Climbing back up to the main path, I lined up a long jump across the gap, clearing the drop easily to avoid repeating the same mistake.

Reaching the exit, we stepped out onto a high ledge overlooking the area. Below us, another Specter patrolled the grounds. Remembering how useful heavy firepower can be, I scanned the surrounding terrain for a dislodged heavy weapon to simplify the fight, but turned up empty-handed.

Deciding to rely on stealth, I crept down to set up a Silent Strike. However, I mis-timed my input and pressed the attack button just before the prompt appeared, swinging my spear blindly and blowing our cover.

Alerted to our presence, the Specter unleashed a barrage of attacks while trying to keep its distance. I fired off arrows from afar while Erend rushed in to draw its attention.
Striking down this single Specter felt far harder than our previous battle against two at once.

Seeing Erend land solid hits, I closed in to assist with melee attacks, but the Specter moved too fast, forcing me back to dodge its counterattacks. Working together, we steadily wore down its health until the machine collapsed.

Looking around the battlefield afterward, I spotted a usable Ravager Cannon sitting right near the fight that I had completely overlooked earlier. It's a heavy weapon that would have made quick work of the machine if I'd notice it in time.
The next post will be coming soon. Screenshots are my take from the game and I took the game logo that I used on the thumbnail picture from online.
SEE YOU.

That accidental dive into the water was hilarious, especially with Erend standing above and basically saying he was perfectly happy staying dry.

The Specter fight looked much harder than expected. I was surprised that one Specter gave more trouble than two earlier. Its fast attacks made the fight really difficult.

I liked how Erend drew the Specter's attention while you fired arrows from a distance, then both of you closed in when they saw an opening. That's great teamwork.
It was nice seeing the fight turn into a proper strategy instead of just rushing in.
I was surprised too.
Thank you.
That dive definitely wasn't planned, but Erend's reaction made it even better, lol 😂
You are welcome love, have a wonderful day!:)
