Forest trips🌳🦋

Hello everyone !🌳 I thought about sharing some photos that I took through college trips. When I was applying for University, the Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology wasn't my first choice it was actually a Music Academy in Zagreb, but I didn't get in. I was so sad and of course I could go on entrance examinations on the fall, but it was too stressful for me. So I decided to go to the Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology, and it turned out great, learning about nature and species around us is so interesting and there is no end to learning. Every day something new. I think I already mentioned that we went on college trips. ![screenshot_3.png](https://images.ecency.com/DQmb54VKP1jmZ8agMtuJx4WQxUYiQPCgXiqqCcycsKeN2Fs/screenshot_3.png) When I say college trips I mean that we almost always went somewhere, was it somewhere around Zagreb or somewhere in country, there were times before the pandemic where we went to trips almost every week. ![screenshot_5.png](https://images.ecency.com/DQmQCJWM2cbZaLFJzNxygb5QtZvob9dZ9stN5hsuvknY3me/screenshot_5.png) On this photo you can see our university facility (in Zalesina, Gorski kotar) where we stayed on one trip for two days. We really had fun traveling around together with friends. We would go with professors in the forest and saw all the important species or tree disease.

BUT, there wasn't always the trips about watching species and learning about forest ecosystem. There were trips where we needed to see how people work in forests, all the forest mechanisation, organisation of work, etc. I wasn't really a fan of this type of trips, because I am not into this branch of forestry(Department of Forestry Techniques and Technologies).

This photo show a river Sava when it pours due to heavy rains, it looks like sea.

Second photo is also from river Sava, but I turned to the left side where I saw these pigs enjoying it on a good weather and probably eating something.

One of the most memorable trips where when we went in the forest of field ash and water reached up almost to our knees. All students were in shock, me too because I never stood in the flood in the woods even if this is so normal for this type of forest to be under the water for some time. This forest show us how they managed to survive due to harsh environmental factors
(not every species can survive being one side in water and not just one side it is the roots and all the organic material).

This is a photo of another college facility were we went on two day trip(Papuk, Slavonsko gorje). We had so much fun on this trip, we bought some alcohol and had a great time until late in night.

This place in Papuk is just amazing, so my friend and I just jumped out of happines. This was like three years ago, but I still remember almost everything.

My bad, this photo is not from the trips but it is from when I went on Sljeme ( Medvednica) with other students ( we could choose what we want for gym classes, and sometimes I would choose to go with my friends from college to Sljeme), but I wanted to show you how these photo. These beeches look so beautiful, healthy and strong.

Here you can see a canyon of river Zrmanja.

I just need to tell you to not be surprised to see the beers on the table, we had beer for drinking and food almost after every trip.

While on college I learned so much met so many people, and the most important one is my love Dominik, with who I am running this account. There were very hard times while studying, but the better times filled my heart. Now when I am on the last year I just can't wait to finish, it is not that I don't like it anymore it is just I can't stay in the classroom, it is time for me to study on my own and only the thing that interest me.

Last photo is from Nature Park Velebit. This was the trip that open my heart truly for nature and ecosystem.
