Expanding my Horizon | My Introductory Post

I'm glad you're here! This is my first post as a new user here.
I appreciate my sister @sekani for introducing me to this platform and @hive-bootcamp for making it possible to join this community.

WHO AM I?

I'm frequently asked this question, and I usually avoid answering it. "What would I write?" I wondered when I was told I had to write an introductory post about myself and who I am. I think I avoid this "big question" because I dislike meeting new people, but being on HIVE brings me out of my shell.

Oluwafunmibi Ige is my name, and I am currently a fourth-year medical student. Although I was born and raised in Abeokuta, Ogun state, I am a native of Oyo State, Nigeria.

As a medical student, I want to pursue other interests in order to live a fulfilling life outside of the medical field. It may appear that you cannot devote your energy or time to anything other than studying and attending clinical rotations. Despite the difficulties of schoolwork, I would like to give it a shot.

I'm not a big fan of taking the common route. Many people believe that medical students lack a personal life, but I can't entirely agree because I think that "intentionality is vital." You give your all when you intentionally pursue the things you love.

My devotion to God is unwavering. There's always an assurance that He's with me. Since I started taking a deliberate walk with Christ, my life has been transformed.

It may sound weird to say I never liked writing, but now I do. I loved writing when I was little, but it's like my voice wasn't heard when I penned something down. That's why I opted for speaking. I felt I could only express myself by talking, but now I think I prefer putting things down (mind you talking has its power, but I found my voice again in writing). I sought means to record or apps that record and then transcribe for you, but to no avail, I didn't find. I feel that's God's way of bringing out what's hidden.

MY EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

In my spare time, I enjoy reading books (not talking about schoolbooks). Meanwhile, I wish I could get my degree without going through these trials and tribulations.🥴

However, I am aware that success comes with a cost.

I desire self-improvement, so I read books about it and also kingdom-related literature because they keep my zeal for God burning.

I am an entrepreneur as I own a small pastry business. I love being creative with my hands. Hence, the love for catering, and I love creating new recipes. I had to take a break in my third-year 2nd semester because I had to prepare for my State Examinations (KROK 1).

MY JOURNEY INTO TECH...

March 2022 marked the beginning of my web development career. It isn't always simple, and there are some days when I want to give up or take a break. Since I'm still so new at this, I'm not even close to being a web developer. But if someone persists in doing something regularly every day and has a goal in mind, I believe that objective will eventually come true.

So, that's basically who I am.

I look forward to meeting new people and exploring the various opportunities on this platform.✌🏼
