Steemit vs Bubblews
Is there anyone out there who heard of Bubblews? They've gone out of existence since two years ago or maybe more but they had the exact same platform as Steemit.
On Bubblews people who write posts and share their daily activities and get paid for upvotes and comments. They'd also get paid for commenting and replying. Plus the more followers you had meant the money you'd make. I was quite successful at it.

Bubblews paid people from advertising revenue but Steemit is way more advanced than that. Income from advertising and paying users was not sustainable, but a lot of people made a lot of money from them. I made on average £300 each month. The potential on Steemit is far greater as the community is bigger and growing on a daily basis.
I will try to implement the same structure here and hopefully will successful, but only time will tell.
Have you heard of or ever used Bubblews before?
I wish everyone all the best and...

Yea I was on bubblews for a little while... thought it was pretty cool but Steem is way better. That's the advantage of decentralized and open source, look at what the Steem community is building around the platform. Go Steem!
steemit is way better!:)
It sure is @doitvoluntarily. It has more of a community feel and the lifespan is looking great. 👍🏽
@g-dubs it sure is way better. This is more of a step in the right direction with decentralisation and the community is great as you say! 🕺
I never heard about it before. Now they have gone forever !
"After being up and running for almost 3 years now we regrettably need to inform you that we will be shutting Bubblews.com down."
It wasn't a shame really but now we have Steemit! No going back now! 'Full Steem ahead!!!'🚄
I was Bubblews user and it was similar platform like Steemit but Steemit is more advance. Bubblews failed because they lack business model and many spammers used it to earn more money and that's why it became hard for admins to reward the members.
Thanks
I am sure like me, many of you still have pending payments with Bubblews.
These networks aim to pay users a share of revenue or whatever directly.
Bubblews could not continue paying though it had a growing network because of the limited revenue. If I remember correctly, it used to pay 1 cent for each comment or like.
You were limited to posting 10 posts a day and larger your network was, easier it was to earn a few dollars on each post.
SteemIt follows a different model.
It doesn't rely on a limited advertising revenue, but the investment in its network and speculation of Steem on cryptoexchanges.
Where does the money come on SteemIt?
First, Steem never pays you a dollar directly. It pays you Steem dollars that you convert to Steem and get paid. Though, one steem dollar equals a dollar, they generate new steems every year.
Second, as long as the network has value for users and investors, it can continue flourishing.
Bubblews lost value for advertisers, though it was still a good network for the users. Many people used to share their creativity and personal stories. It was quite engaging.
A lot of users of SteemIt are also investing in SteemPower. Steem does't seem to go away out in the cryptoexchange either.
Moreover, developers can also build apps that work on the SteemIt network.
It looks promising. Unlike advertisors, money comes from speculators and investors. That was not the case with Bubblews.
Value it offers, content, network, maybe apps in future. What else do we need?
In future, maybe, there would be some further improvements, but for now, it seems to be promising enough.
Enjoy!!
