crypto questions

my first post. i am relatively new to cryptos but started putting money into this area about 6 months ago. i recognized a bull market when i saw one. i'm happy with the results, but now have questions:

1. all i hear is never keep cryptos on exchanges. sounds good but i own 25 coins. jaxx wallet supports 9 of my coins. what wallets support factom, maidsafe and many more? can paper wallets be used?
2. i know jaxx is working on supporting more coins. does jaxx automatically update phone app and website? or do i have to reinstall every week or so?
3. how do i keep from obsesssively checking blockfolio every 5 minutes?
