What makes us hungry?

We all enjoy our food don't we? Pizza, sushi, ice cream... and the list goes on. Do you sometimes wonder what makes us feel hungry?

The culprit is the hypothalamus, which is the part of the brain that contains nerve cells. The nerve cells receive signals from the hormones that circulate in the blood. The amount of hormones are affected by the amount of food that has been taken in by the body. This is why we feel full after having our meals.
