Un Saludo a todos, espero que se encuentren bien, por aquí estoy de nuevo participando una vez más en el concurso semanal de la Comunidad Damas de la Colmena; Elegí responder a la pregunta sobre a quién de mi familia me parezco más, y dediqué estas palabras con mucho orgullo a mi papá. ¡Espero que les guste!
Hello, everyone! I hope you're all doing well. Here I am again, participating once more in the weekly contest hosted by the Damas de la Colmena Community. I chose to answer the question about which family member I take after the most, and I proudly dedicated these words to my dad. I hope you like it!
Al leer la pregunta 1, comencé a escudriñar en mi mente y a buscar mi reflejo en alguien, sin dudarlo ni un segundo elijo a mi papá. Físicamente compartimos algunos rasgos, pero lo que realmente me llena de orgullo es todo lo que hemos conectado a través de nuestra forma de ser, nuestros gustos y la manera en la que vemos la vida. Para empezar, compartimos pasiones muy bonitas, una de ellas es el amor por el campo, nos fascina la naturaleza y esa paz invaluable que solo se respira lejos del ruido de la ciudad. Además, nos une un espacio mágico de la casa: la cocina, compartimos el mismo gusto por cocinar, por sazonar con calma y por consentir a los demás a través de la comida, nos derretimos ante una pizza, un perrito caliente o una deliciosa hamburguesa, por supuesto hecha por nosotros.
When I read Question 1, I began to search my mind and look for someone who reflects me—without a moment’s hesitation, I choose my dad. Physically, we share some traits, but what really fills me with pride is everything we’ve connected over—our personalities, our tastes, and the way we view life. For starters, we share some wonderful passions—one of which is our love for the countryside. We’re fascinated by nature and that priceless sense of peace that you can only experience far from the noise of the city. We’re also united by a magical space in our home: the kitchen. We share the same love for cooking, for taking our time to season our dishes, and for treating others to delicious meals. We’re both weak for pizza, hot dogs, or a delicious hamburger—made by us, of course.
Hay una virtud que le agradezco a Dios, haber heredado de él, es su temperamento; Mi papá y yo somos personas sumamente pacientes. Tenemos una tranquilidad interior muy grande y es verdaderamente difícil hacernos enojar o sacarnos de nuestras casillas, algunas personas me dicen eres pacienzuda como tu papá, de verdad eso me satisface mucho, porque en un mundo que siempre corre y donde la gente se molesta por todo, esa paciencia heredada de mi padre es algo muy bueno en mi vida. Me ayuda a mantener los pies bien puestos sobre la tierra, a estar enfocada en lo que quiero y mantenerme firme en mis metas, con la mirada fija en alcanzar todo lo que me propongo, sabiendo que las cosas buenas se construyen despacio y con amor. Estoy sumamente orgullosa de parecerme a él.
There’s one virtue I’m grateful to God for—having inherited it from Him—and that’s His temperament; my dad and I are both extremely patient people. We have a deep inner calm, and it’s truly difficult to make us angry or rattle us. Some people tell me, “You’re as patient as your dad,” and that really makes me happy, because in a world that’s always rushing and where people get upset over everything, that patience I inherited from my father is a great blessing in my life. It helps me keep my feet firmly on the ground, stay focused on what I want, and remain steadfast in my goals, with my sights set on achieving everything I set out to do, knowing that good things are built slowly and with love. I’m extremely proud to be like him.
Me despido de ustedes, no sin antes comentarles que el trabajo de mi sueños cuando era niña, era ser enfermera, por el momento trabajo haciendo tortas; Inicié la carrera de Medicina, pero no la culmine, hace poco recibí mi titulo de T.S.U. en fisioterapia y estoy estudiando la Licenciatura, allí voy conquistando metas.
I’ll say goodbye now, but not before telling you that my dream job as a child was to be a nurse. For now, I work making cakes. I started a medical degree but didn’t finish it; I recently received my T.S.U. degree in physical therapy and am now working toward my bachelor’s degree—I’m steadily achieving my goals.

Awww.. I know exactly what you are saying here 😊🫶 I am like you, I have my dads temper to and he is the kindest one I know and he has patience beyond normal 😁 as do I.
Sometimes at work when whatever situations have accuted and someone just got mad....

You being so calm and quiet only makes me more angry? 😁 Lol
My coworker told me that multible times.. Just yell.. Scream.. Anything... But ya... Thats not me.
Doesn't mean that I can't get angry to but I usually just Stay away untill I come down.
Loved reading this and you seem to be close you and your dad, it is a blessing.
Thank you for sharing and reminding me of how my relationship with my dad is.
I always say... If I end up being half as good as my parents...
