Announcement: Indefinite break
Good day dear followers of the earthly sciences.
Some might have already noticed but activity of the account has significantly dropped last months, partially due to the decline of new posts. It came to the point that it no longer makes sense to keep making Daily Field Notes or curate posts. This however does not mean that @geopolis is dead. I, as a person, will definitely stay active on the platform and once I see interest in the project coming back, I will immediately revive it. So please keep following Geopolis if you want to stay up to date with this. This is also a message to let delegators (@Skycae, @Valth, @Solominer and @Samve ) know they can take back their delegations if they wish. The account will be added to @SteemStem's curation trail to make good use of the remaining voting power.

Thank you all for the interest en enthusiasm over the last year, I truly hope to write for geopolis again soon.

I'm sorry to hear this, but I get why you have decided to do this. There is so little activity around here these days, especially for a niche community like this one, but hopefully things will turn around at one point. Thanks for making a great project for so long by the way! I found some very interesting authors and posts due to the Daily Field Notes :)

Me too! But I understand as well! To me, the overall @steemstem does not have a great representation with the #steemstem tag. @geopolis #geopolis holds the fort down so to speak and give a good place for those with special interests to meet up and share cool photos. Long live #geology as well!
But understand and we need to support and keep new people here interested and engaged.

So what happens to those like myself who joined for a lifetime subscription 😁, I didn’t see this or I would not have continued to use the tag. Sorry to see this project die off and hope when steem rises it will be back.
