At a certain age, emotional support
Is what one seeks, not vain riches.
Trust and peace, not insecurities,
Kisses and parties are no longer the desire.
At a certain age, one longs only for calm,
No one who disturbs tranquility.
No more waiting for dream princes,
Who transform toads with their reality.
At a certain age, empty promises
Are only words that time wears away.
