IS IT RAINING OUTSIDE?

"Dear God, please don't let it get any colder, lest I freeze by the morrow."

This is my least favourite prayer. Oh, but one I pray so often.

Now, don't get me wrong, I don't like the heat either. Actually, I don't like the heat at all. So, yes, I kind of prefer the cold. But I get cold really easy. So, in an attempt to remind myself that I'm totally convinced that a rainy day is cool because it breeds much less heat than a super sunny day, I try to get things in place that keep me excited. Like a fridge full of groceries, for instance. 😃

I might not even eat them, but the thought of not having to go out searching for food in the rain helps keep depression away.

I also try as much as possible to keep people from coming over because I wouldn't want to be as bothered as I was the last rainy day a colleague came visiting and stood stranded at our second (perpetually locked) gate because she had missed her way to the first one.

Plus, as much as I like meeting new people and making impact, having to go outside everyday distresses me.

Then, what do I like?

I don't know.

But what do I want?

A peaceful day when I can have access to lovely books, enough food, good internet and music, and, of course, a blanket to keep me feeling cozy. This gets quite uncomfortable on super sunny days, so, yes, I do prefer the rain but mainly because I get the chance to work from home.
