During the summer time after some good rain our garden is full of mushrooms. And it doesn't even have to be a lot of rain. We pick them up every time as we don't know whether they are poisonous or not and don't want the dogs to get sick.
The most common ones we see looks like these:
We have also started noticing some different kinds of mushroom. These were predominantly in the flower beds rather than the lawn.
*Found growing together, white and looks velvety.*
*These grow in the shade and are delicate to the touch. The stalks are sturdy though.*
*Where it's coolest these pale yellow ones can be found. Very delicate and usually gone by the end of the day.*
*We have a dead tree stump with full sunlight where this one grows.*
The one morning we decided to do an experiment to see just how much they grow during the day, as they seem to just appear over night.

Tat's quite a variety you have growing there. Always best to take the safe option and remove them. I do the same.
Yeah, we always do. It is a lot though, usually full plastic packet every day. And the next day they are all back.
Most interesting, have never thought about doing early morning late afternoon photography on mushrooms. They grow pretty quick so it shows nicely with timer.
Have never removed mushrooms growing in the garden, my dogs never took any notice of them @glugster
I think we generally just remove it to be safe. My wife is paranoid when it comes to our dogs. :)
the white velvety ones could be edible, they look like oyster mushrooms and they are yum! but look online or get a book to be safe. just fyi this means your garden is a healthy environment, so thats cool.
Thanks! I like letting the garden do its own thing and stay "wild" as much as possible. We are playing it safe at the moment with these mushrooms and removing everything.
