Coping Trick: Kickflip BS 5050

I learned these after seeing Heath Kirchart do one on a bank-to-ledge (which is still my favorite obstacle to skate); but since I didn't have a convenient bank-to-ledge at the time, I learned them on a quarter pipe.
The backside scoop is similar, and if you ollie early it skates very similar to a steep bank-to-curb. A few years later, David Gonzalez filmed a few big ones in a pool which I thought was amazing. It would be gnarly to lock into pool coping with some vert on it; since you could easily miss the coping.

dude i think about your kickflip back5050 on quarterpipes from that time we skated that tiny cement park somewhere on the north side of chicago. not sure where that edit ended up. i remember showing it to a friend in minnesota and he was stoked on your kf back 5050 on the quarter though... cant remember how i showed him it
Dude - that's when I learned them, too. I feel like it was ahead of its time because David Gonzalez filmed a few like a year later; and I was like sweet, a pro is finally taking this trick to the next level.
