I lost my wallet 👛 / 財布を失くしました

I lost my wallet... Not a WEB3 wallet — I mean my actual, real-life wallet. It had my My Number Card (Japanese national ID), bank cash card, credit cards, hospital appointment cards, and other stuff inside.

It happened on my second son's 8th birthday. I rode my bike to buy a cake. I put the wallet in the bicycle basket. I clearly remember paying for the cake with a card and then placing the wallet in front of the cake box on the way back. But after that, my memory gets fuzzy. I'm not sure if I actually took the wallet with me when I got off the bike at the parking area, along with the cake box... I haven't used the wallet since, and I don't remember seeing it at all.

I only noticed it might be missing the next morning. No matter how much I searched the house, I couldn't find it, so I figured I must have left it in the bike basket. I rushed downstairs to check, but the basket was empty. If I really left it there, someone must have taken it.

There was only 600 yen in cash, so that's no big deal, but dealing with stopping and reissuing all those cards is such a pain... I wish they had just taken the cash and left the wallet 😂

The one silver lining is that a few months ago I canceled a bunch of credit cards and bank accounts I used to have. Because there weren't that many cards in the wallet, I can actually remember what was in it, and the hassle of reissuing and canceling might be a bit lighter.

Still, some of the reissuance fees are pretty expensive... Whoever took it, if you're reading this, can you at least put it back in the basket now?

財布を失くしました・・・　WEB3 Walletの話ではなく、現実のお財布です。中にはマイナンバーカードやキャッシュカード、クレジットカード、病院の診察券なんかが入っていました。

次男の8歳の誕生日に、自転車でケーキを買いに行きました。財布だけ自転車のカゴに入れて。ケーキはカードで買って、ケーキの箱の手前に財布を入れたところまでは覚えているのですが、家に着いてからの記憶が曖昧です。駐輪場で自転車を降りた後、ケーキの箱と一緒に財布を持って部屋に戻ったのかどうか・・・その後は財布を使っていないし、見た記憶もありません。

財布がないかも、と気づいて探し始めたのは翌朝でした。家の中はいくら探してもなかったので、やっぱり自転車のカゴに置きっぱなしだったのでしょう。慌てて見に行きましたが、カゴは空っぽでした。ここに忘れていたのだとしたら、誰かが取っていったのだと思います。

現金は600円しか入っていなかったのでどうでも良いですが、カード類の停止・再発行手続きが面倒過ぎる・・・現金だけ持っていってくれたらよかったのに😂

唯一良かったのは、数ヶ月前にそれまで保有していたクレジットカードや銀行口座を大量に解約していたことです。財布に入っているカードの類が少なかったので、何が入っていたかどうにか思い出せるし、再発行や解約の負担も多少は減るのかな。

にしても再発行に料金が掛かるものも結構あるし、今からでもいいからカゴに戻しておいてくれないかな😂
