Each bird represents a decoy, one being Ripple, the other Stellar. Two birds will be killed with one stone.

The cracks are already getting deeper for Stellar. Their XLM network recently went down for over an hour, and their IBM partnership appears as if it's becoming weaker by the day, highlighted by Jesse Lund's abrupt departure.
