I don't get Steemit

I am kind of done with it I guess. It feels very much like MLM. I see people with posts in the $100s and I don't have a clue if that is organic or manipulated or what. My little penny ante posts are never going to get there so what is the point trying to create content when it feels more like a competition once again. The ones who know how to game and work the system are the ones who succeed.

Will some one show me how to game it?
