Forbearance And Forgiveness

Colossians 3:13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.

One of the most unavoidable things in human interaction is offences or misunderstanding.

Today the Lord says we should forbear people and forgive those that wrong us.

The idea of forbearance suggest the attitude of accommodating people's excesses and bearing in mind they are prone to mistakes, irrespective of how wonderful they appear now.

Forgiveness is the most suitable approach towards the offences that has already been committed.

In order to belong to Christ, we must forbear and forgive, just as He does. Imagine your errors, offenses and imperfections, but Christ forbear and forgive all. Think about it.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for forbearing and forgiving us always. Please help us to forbear and forgive as you do, in Jesus name. Amen.
