Our Wedding Anniversary

Today is our wedding anniversary. We are celebrating 42 years of marriage. We married a year after we met, working it out through a long distance romance.

It has been a wonderful 42 years!

Was it all fun and games? No. We had ups and downs like everyone else. We lost family members. I miscarried our fourth child, so our fourth is actually our fifth. We had financial hardships. We moved to places we didn't know anyone except each other. We've had health issues, children issues, car accidents, and problems with our houses.

When we got married, we made a commitment to each other to stick it out no matter what. It wasn't as easy when we were younger, but now that we've been together this long, it is much easier. We can't imagine not having each other. It was well worth anything we went through.

Now that we are empty nesters, it is even better!
