Late night drawings

Things have been a little hectic lately, so I've been struggling to dedicate myself to a fully fledged painting. I do however make time for small practices/tests, gotta keep them drawing hands active!

Just trying to spit out whatever really, going without drawing for a while makes grumblebum a dull boy.

I was playing around with different brushes and brush settings, working my way up from really quick base sketches. I have a bit of an obsession with the this 3/4 side on pose, probably a habit I should shake, but it's fun when you can't really think of anything else to draw.

Fun little hand, trying out some stronger lines.

And finally two small 5min sketchies. I don't like working from a white background, so I'll usually start with a shade of grey and mix in some other colours, I think it helps the image not feel flat, and you get some fun variation in your shading as an added bonus!
