somehow found a way.
mask chronic shame;
break on through the wax
too much too soon, see
at last:
i ought to shine
like these tears,
flowing,
falling,
filling the space between

This is a remarkable poem, as it answers the question of what the shepherd is looking up at, in disbelief, and also how oblivious most of the rest of us are as our pride is leading us to the fall ... how we choose to "disbelieve" it ...
