Hello dear Steemians, I hope you had an excellent weekend. Today I will show you how the Upvoting Bots work and how to use them properly. For this we will make use of different interesting tools, I have only spent 4 months in this wonderful community and I know how difficult it can be at the beginning. These bots can be free or paid and I will talk a little about both.

Before explaining the use of these bots it is important to know some things, each bot works with its own rules and requirements, but there is a condition that is general for all, which is that your posts must be original or have the sources of where you have copied the information or image. As you know in this platform, we look for talent and contributions of value that help with the growth and learning of all those involved, avoid publishing an image with a sentence underneath or a copy and paste of information created by another person. If there is something that this community does not tolerate is plagiarism and if you dedicate yourself to this you will not be taken seriously, and in the case of the Upvoting Bots you will lose your money, since you will not be voted and you will also be placed in a blacklist.

For those who are starting in this community and do not have to pay a bot, there are a few bots that they can use to get a little profit in their posts. now I will explain the use of two of them.

After a while you will receive an answer in your comment, as in the example and you will receive your vote.

This is a very good project that helps new users to grow and adapt to the platform, so I recommend you follow them and be aware of their publications. This has a server in discord so that users can meet and interact. We just need to enter this server to use the bot, you can do it from the following link.

In the image we can see that it gives us three data, which we will use to make a transfer, do not worry because in addition to being a minuscule amount, once the registration is done it returns the money sent, if you are new and do not have that amount tell me in the comments and I'll gladly transfer it. Attention! These data may vary so be alert. The data are the following:
+ The amount to be transferred. + User to whom we must make the transfer. + Code that we must copy in the "memo" box.

We go to our wallet in our Steemit account and pressing on the amount of either STEEM DOLLARS or STEEM we will display a small menu and we will select "Transfer", then the next window will open.

We enter the corresponding data and press send, usually when we make a transfer Steemit asks us to log in again for security reasons, we do it and we go to discord chat. The bot in the course of a few seconds or minutes will tell you that you are already registered without having to write anything else. Now, it's just a matter of sending your post to the bot to vote for it.

For this we go to the channel upvote in discord and once inside the chat we will copy the following:

$upvote "Link of your post"

Where "Link of your post" is the link of your post in Steemit without the quotes. After a few minutes you will receive a comment and the vote in said post. You can only do this every 24 hours.

Before going on to explain the Upvoting bots, I will show you the tools we will use and so you can have them on hand for other uses.

It is an ideal tool for those who want to control the growth of their accounts and know the value of STEEM, this was created by @penguinpablo can follow him to stay informed of statistics relating to Steemit and Steem, he constantly makes reports of all movements generated. On the other hand what really interests us for the proper use of the bots, is their calculator that based on 3 variables is able to give us a fairly accurate result of how much we will earn. In the same way we will see this later, here I leave the link.

Well before starting, it is necessary to explain certain things, the first is how the Upvote of the paid bots works. The profit that leaves a vote is determined with 3 variables:
+ Amount of Steem Power (This stays the same when voting).

• Voting Power. (The bots always vote when it is 100%).

• Voting Weight. (The percentage is distributed among those who offered).
  
  

After this, you should know how the profit received in your post is divided when it is voted.

• 25%, goes for the curators in the form of SP (People who voted for you).

• 37.5%, you will receive them in Steem Power (which is divided by the current price of STEEM).

• 37.5%, you receive them in SBD (This is the amount that we are interested in knowing for the purposes of this guide).

Finally, and this is the most important thing, to know how the voting weight of a bot works, suppose that this is a cake which will be divided among those who contribute money (offer), then it will be divided into portions according to what each offer person For example we have 4 users A, B, C and D, each of them transferred to the bot a different amount, let's see how the voting weight would be distributed for each one:

Therefore, this means that the more users transfer to the bot, the weight of the vote will be reduced for everyone and may reach a point where it causes everyone to lose. But we'll see how we can be attentive to this.

Now, we go to the Steembottracker page, we go down to the next table and here we will find lists all the bots that are active. We can observe different columns of which I will explain the most important ones below.

• First: We will check that our post has less days of being created than the bot allows. then we check that at least we have the minimum to be able to offer.

• Second: Most bots vote every 2.4 hours therefore to verify that the bot is working normally, we will go to his wallet and review the payments that it received 3 hours ago. We reviewed some of the links to verify that he made the votes normally.

• Third: We make sure that the amount in the "Max Suggested Bid" column is at least three times the amount we are going to transfer.

• Fourth: We check that in the "Next Vote" column there are 30 minutes or more remaining, so that we have time to make calculations and make the transfer.

• Fifth: We click on the details of the bot and a window will open with the following.
  

As before explain this is the list of users who have transferred to the bot for this round of votes, in this window we will focus on two things, the first is the Current ROI , which is the percentage of current profit per investment, this means that as long as this value is positive you will recover your investment in SBD and even earn something more. On the other hand if it is negative never offer for that bot otherwise you will have losses. This value will decrease as more people transfer to the bot.

The second data on which we will focus once you have already transferred will be in the Vote% column, look for your username in the list and verify this column, which it will be the percentage of "Vote weight" that you will receive from the bot. This will be lower as more users make an offer.

However before deciding to pay, we can make estimates based on what other users have offered. If for example we want to transfer 1 SBD, we search the list for a user who has bid for that amount and we copy the percentage of "Vote weight" that he is receiving in the third Steemnow calculator box.

Then we go to the profile on Steemd.com of the bot and copy the SP it has in the first box of the calculator, to then do the calculation.

This is what the bot would currently leave us with his vote, remembering that we must multiply this value by 37.5% in order to obtain the amount of SBD that we would be receiving. Which would be:

It only remains to make the transfer with the desired amount and copying the link of our publication in the box "Memo" and cross the fingers. I recommend using the bots with more SP, although their minimum bid is higher than others, in general, the investment is recovered almost entirely.

With all these tools we will know how much we will receive and if we will win or lose with our investment. There will always be a factor that we can not control and is the offer of other users, so on the one hand you could say that it is a matter of luck.
