Among the many universities in London, the University of Greenwich is particularly known for its scenic beauty and historical heritage. You can get a bird's eye view of London for a moment at the Royal Observatory in front of the University of Greenwich. This place is famous for the Prime Meridian (0° longitude), which divides the world into the Eastern and Western Hemispheres. Standing on that line in Greenwich, you can experience a unique combination of history, astronomy and geography. This is where GMT time, which is used as the basis for world time, began.

The unique example of the great modern art that has been created in London in the last century, can be seen at a glance from the University of Greenwich. In spring, the university campus is filled with cherry blossoms, which, combined with the historic architecture and the River Thames, give Greenwich a unique beauty.
