Budapest!

We went travelling to Budapest, Hungary and oh my god- it was amazing.

As a special birthday treat, my partner and I decided to venture across Europe to see what Budapest would be like after hearing so many amazing things about the views and architecture.

Day 1:

We flew out of London Luton quite early on our first day to make the most of our three days there so tried to get as much done as possible. We chose to stay in the Prestige hotel, which is shown in the top photo. It was so luxurious and even included a Michelin Star restaurant.

After, we decided to have an of the rest of the hotel and surrounding area

and most importantly we found a small burger place that had been recommended to us called Lucky 7 and who can turn down a burger?

Later on in the day, the sun set and I can only say how amazing this was- it was nothing like I had ever experienced before..

It began as your average sunset- nothing to complain about and much better than the cloudy english ones that I am so used to.

Then we thought it had hit peak, the colours were amazing and it was starting to get dark.

Then all of a sudden the most crazy insane sunset popped out after we thought it had all finished. Words cannot describe!!

Day 2:

We got up super early and hiked to the top of Gellert Hill in hopes to catch some views of the entire capital.

Once we had reached the top of the 250 metre climb we were rewarded with amazing views and blue skies!

We decided to walk back down, grab some lunch then set off on another 2 and a half mile walk to the Szechenyi Thermal Baths- which was a great experience but quite busy, so I'd recommend going in the off season or later in the evening.

Day 3:

This was our last day, but we fully intended to get the most out of it as possible. We found a cute place to grab some breakfast quick.

Then we ventured round all of the parliament architect buildings to see what everyone was raving about, the pictures below just do not do them justice!!

After walking around for a while, we then decided another hike (who am I anymore??) up to the castle district to try out the 'best cakes' at Cafe Ruszwurm which was pretty tasty too.

And that unfortunately was the mini break over and done with, which saddens me so bad! I would love to go back to Budapest but I also have so many places I want to visit for the first time also!!

However, I did make a video of our time in Buda if you want a bit more of a run down and more food included!!

Just click the link here!

Have you got any places that you recommend I visit?
