Addiction : Another micro tale
"Does anyone in your home have addiction issue?", inquired the medical student, surveying another house in the chawl.
"I mean, is anyone in the house addicted like they can't live without that thing? Don't worry, we aren't cops. We'll cure it for free", explained the guy to the lady in the torn clothes.
"Oh, yes. This is Lalu, my two years old son. He can't live without food for more than six hours, he starts crying for food every now and then.", answered the lady with hope and innocence.
