HivePulse SEO Contest Winners + New Week 2 (300 HIVE)
Summary: The first HivePulse SEO Contest is settled. Three creators split 300 HIVE, every entry was re-scored directly from the blockchain, and week 2 opens today with the same prize pool.
One week ago @hdev asked Hive creators to optimize a post with the HivePulse SEO Contest analyzer and show the score. Seven creators entered, eight posts were scored, and the results say something genuinely useful about what makes Hive content discoverable. Below are the winners, every score, the one metric that decided the podium, and the fixes shipped because entrants spoke up.
How were the HivePulse SEO Contest winners chosen?
No screenshot was taken on trust. Every entry was re-scored from its published on-chain body using the same scoring engine the extension runs in the editor, so a flattering screenshot could not win anything. The judging script is public inside the HivePulse repository, and the ranking metric was the combined average of the SEO percentage and the GEO score.
Three checks decided eligibility: publication inside the contest window, a verified on-chain author, and a minimum SEO score of 70. Merit did the rest.
🥇 First place — @mein-senf-dazu (150 HIVE)
Heat Pen Guide: Mosquito Bite Relief That Really Works — SEO 97% · GEO 100 · combined 99
A bilingual English/German hands-on guide, 1,635 words, built around a device the author actually tested after a bad week with mosquitoes. The post opens with an explicit summary line, breaks cleanly into subheadings, carries a real internal link to earlier work, and never leaves a sentence dangling on a vague pronoun. Near-perfect on both halves of the score, and — more to the point — a post worth reading even if no contest existed.
🥈 Second place — @nabbas0786 (100 HIVE)
Stop Spending More Than Income | Guide To Save Your Future — SEO 94% · GEO 100 · combined 97
A disciplined personal-finance guide, 1,050 words, with a strong title, a clear thesis in the opening line, and structure that an answer engine can quote without hunting. @nabbas0786 was also the most engaged entrant of the week, filing bug reports that turned into shipped fixes.
🥉 Third place — @jankris (50 HIVE)
Cómo instalar HivePulse paso a paso en tu navegador — SEO 94% · GEO 100 · combined 97
A bilingual Spanish/English installation tutorial, 1,325 words and 20 screenshots, walking a complete beginner from empty browser to working analyzer. A first-time entrant who chose to teach the tool to others.
Second and third place finished dead level at 97, with identical 94% SEO and 100 GEO splits. The tie broke on submission time: @nabbas0786 entered on 29 July, @jankris on 2 August.
All three winners are upvoted and reblogged by @hdev, and prizes are paid on publication of this post.
Every entry, every score
Full transparency — here is the complete board.
| Author | SEO | GEO | Combined |
|---|---|---|---|
| @mein-senf-dazu | 97% | 100 | 99 |
| @nabbas0786 | 94% | 100 | 97 |
| @jankris | 94% | 100 | 97 |
| @angeluxx | 95% | 73 | 84 |
| @cositav | 86% | 80 | 83 |
| @hatdogsensei | 87% | 71 | 79 |
| @militadigital01 | 67% | 60 | 64 |
Honourable mention to @angeluxx, who posted the second-highest raw SEO score of the entire contest at 95%, and to @cositav and @hatdogsensei, both comfortably past the qualifying bar. @militadigital01 landed just under the threshold and is very much encouraged back for round two.
What separated the winners from everyone else?
The data answers this cleanly. SEO scores were strong across the board, averaging 89% — Hive creators already write good titles, use headings, and add images. GEO averaged 83 and swung from 60 all the way to 100, and all three winners scored a perfect 100 on GEO.
GEO is the measure of whether an AI answer engine can lift a passage from a post and cite it. Three habits produced every perfect score:
- Open with a summary. State the payoff in the first 8 to 60 words, before any preamble.
- Write self-contained sentences. A sentence beginning with "This shows..." means nothing once quoted alone. Name the subject instead.
- Keep pronoun density low. Repeat the actual noun where a lesser draft would reach for "it" or "they".
Search engine optimization gets a post ranked. Generative engine optimization gets a post quoted — and quoting is how ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google's AI overviews send readers somewhere new. Most entrants were already winning the first battle and losing the second.
For the record, this announcement was written with the analyzer open the whole way: SEO 99, GEO 100. The advice above is not theory.
🛠️ You reported, we shipped
Every substantive piece of feedback on the launch post turned into a released fix within days. Version 1.12.0 is rolling out now, and most of what follows came straight from this contest's comment section.
- 📱 Mobile support arrived. @nabbas0786 pointed out that desktop-only shuts out a large share of Hive. Firefox for Android is now supported for reading and analyzing.
- 🌍 Non-English editors fixed. @mein-senf-dazu and @militadigital01 both hit a description field that refused to register. The analyzer was only matching the English label; German and Dutch preview descriptions are now captured correctly.
- 🦥 More frontends supported. @slothlydoesit made the case that frontends compete with their own content for search visibility. SlothBuzz and Ureka are now supported, with the SEO analyzer running on SlothBuzz.
- 🌐 Opera joins the lineup. HivePulse already runs on Opera and other Chromium browsers through the Chrome build, and a dedicated Opera add-ons listing has been submitted for review, so Opera users will soon have a one-click install of their own.
- 🔧 Detection hardening. Tag, heading, link and image detection are sharper across rich-text editors, so the score reflects the real post rather than what the editor happens to expose.
- 🐞 And a round of bug fixes. Hover cards were quietly showing a reputation of 25 for everyone — Hive deprecated the old reputation field and it now returns zero, so HivePulse reads hivemind's real value instead. Actifit links written without an
@now route correctly to other frontends. The error that used to appear right after the extension updated itself is gone. And the analyzer panel now tells you which version you are running.
🚀 Week 2 opens now — same 300 HIVE
The HivePulse SEO Contest runs again, unchanged, with a full prize pool.
How to enter:
- Install HivePulse — Chrome or Firefox. Free, works on Opera, Brave and Edge through the Chrome build, and now runs on Firefox for Android.
- Write and publish a new post on any supported Hive frontend, using the analyzer as a guide while writing.
- Comment below with a link to the post plus a screenshot of the SEO and GEO panel.
- Tag the post
#hivepulse.
Prizes: 🥇 150 HIVE · 🥈 100 HIVE · 🥉 50 HIVE, all three upvoted and reblogged by @hdev.
Rules: new original content published between 5 and 11 August 2026, minimum SEO score of 70 to qualify, one entry per person, any language welcome. Winners are announced within 5 days of close.
One change for week 2: the #hivepulse tag is now strictly enforced. Two entries reached the podium this week without it and were judged on merit anyway, as a debut-round courtesy. From now on an untagged post cannot place. Tagging costs nothing and helps every entrant find each other.
A closing note on why any of this matters. Each optimized post is a permanent, searchable, AI-citable piece of Hive that lives on-chain forever. Do that at scale and Hive stops competing for scraps of attention and starts being the place the answers come from.

It's too bad I forgot to participate last week. Here's my entry for this week.
https://ecency.com/@ekads/how-to-earn-crypto-passive
There is a difference in the SEO score in the new editor on Eccency, as shown in the following screenshot. I haven’t checked it in the classic editor yet.

However, it shows the same AI/GEO score.

Here’s a little suggestion from me, if possible: users can enter the keywords they’re targeting, so that HivePulse can show the score for those keywords.
As in this article of mine, for example, I wanted to target the keyword “earn crypto passive income,” but HivePulse detected that my target keyword was “Hive.”
HivePulse is very helpful for writing SEO-friendly articles. Users just need to follow the provided parameters. It’s truly amazing!
It's already support add meta description for SEO purpose.
Greetings, I'm participating, I'm learning, I'm going little by little giving my best
I am actually talking about Android users...
Hello Forks, I tried my best to Score 100 in SEO but just failed with 1 lolz.
Still it's far better than my previous rank which was 94 in SEO and 100 in GEO.

Oh, I thought you were talking about Ecency via the browser. I apologize 😞
nice!!
it's all about learning and improving
Great entry @ekads !
For your suggestion, we already support editing your own keyword. Just type it into the keyword field and it would adjust the ranking.
Do we need to update the extension or is it automatically updated?
Will give it a try in my next post.
Thanks for this opportunity -:)
Nah, it was my mistake, I should have to mention this earlier...
should be there already, no need to update
Yeah, it's already there. I used it on my latest post.
Thanks
In my yesterday's blog I forget to add #hivepulse in my tag list Which is important to be added...
So here is what I have published just now, another Blog with another Rank of 99 in SEO and 100 in GEO, give some time to read my own life Mistakes, Losses and How I came out from all of that
