Self love

It is the belief of many that they need to impress others and make them happy at all cost to feel loved and accepted.

But on the contrary, you need to love yourself so deeply and fiercely.

Just because there's no one else on planet earth that's like you.  (If that's not good enough reason to love yourself, I wonder what is) 

Love you for you! 

Do not wait on others to make you happy or create your happiness for you  

Create it yourself.

This doesn't make you narcissistic. 

It's simply loving yourself like you so rightly deserve.

It's alright to always want people to like you. 

Everyone craves general acceptance.  But do not lower your standards just because you want to please someone.

In the long run, you end up displeasing yourself.  

And losing part of you. 

It's all a gradual process. 

You keep losing yourself to gain acceptance of others.

And when they eventually leave our lives, for whatever reasons, you not only lose them,  'cause you've also lost yourself in the process of trying to gain their acceptance.

Also, do not compare yourself to your mates. 

Comparison is a killer. 

Your journey is your journey.

It's your race. Nobody can run it for you. 

We all need our own time to cover our own distance.

So because your mates are In better situations today doesn't mean you won't have your better days.
