Holozing:Wilds Public Alpha Testing
Holo everyone!
Apologies for not posting in a very long time, things have been quite crazy. While we have a lot to make up for in terms of posting, achievements still to be sent out, name contest winners to be chosen, etc, we wanted to take the time to invite everyone over to test our Incremental clicker game we've been working on to launch so our healers have something to heal while waiting for the main game!
Without further ado, let's get into what we want to invite you to today!
Holozing:Wilds
(How to test at the end of the post, if you wanna skip intro)
Holozing Wilds is an incremental 2d clicker game based on our healer x creature game mode.
You pick a healer, you get a creature of random rarity and the game starts!
We've implemented a very short tutorial to guide you over the basics. Let us know if it helps!
We also have a lengthy game guide set up for those wanting to get into the details, most will get the gist of it while playing however.
Think of Trimps x Clicker Heroes x many other games similar games while staying true to our main game as much as possible.
Things to know and differences between the main Holozing game and :Wilds
Healers and creatures in this game don't reflect towards the main game.
However, if you already have items from Alpha Vials from the main game, you'll be able to select your top creature to play with and some consumables to give you a kickstart in :wilds. Your collected Holo Dust from December Events will also apply to your launch in :wilds.
Everything crafted, captured, level progression, etc, is only for Holozing:Wilds.
When we're done testing, we will be introducing HAF NFTs for Holozing:Wilds as well, giving the community a way to trade creatures, items, etc.
This is an open Alpha testing period, any progression, creatures, items are due for a reset before the official Beta launch. You may however earn Alpha Testing badge/title/achievement for participating.
If you're active and contribute with bugs/glitches/other oddities in our Discord, we may reward you with some Hive from @zingtoken.
Stress-test and ping check
Our main want from this alpha test, other than the things mentioned above, is to also check connectivity and if our servers can handle more active players for an official launch. While we work on some last additions and adjustments to Expedition and PvP game mode as well as how we'll be generating NFTs and Healers.
Any other contributions you think are valuable to be pointed at and haven't been mentioned already to the team will be valued and logged to send out some Hive as thanks for pointing out to them. We don't wanna call it a bug-bounty as we don't wanna invite the wrong people over, so don't expect a lot of rewards.

We've recently made some changes to Zing distribution
based on price of Hive and longevity of Alpha Vial sale. Overall Zing distribution was lowered by about 50% and this'll allow us to start distributing Zing rewards to Holozing:Wilds players for the beta launch of the game. This will be separated based on different level/rarity brackets for PvP and how far people get in their Paragon journey in PvE as well as other variables such as creature rarities your healer brings with them past Paragon.
We are also planning on sunsetting Alpha Vials here soon and replacing them with Beta Vials. While you won't be able to open the beta vials yet, you'll be able to purchase them and earn some Zing along with Alpha Vial holders and Alpha creatures/items/consumables.

But... My critters stopped obeying me at some point... :( I can't play anymore.
It's because my healer is level 17 while my critters are around 25. No idea how it happened.
Yeah, due to changes it may affect saves from previous runs a bit tougher. You should still be able to catch up easier now by simply healing the creatures and attempting to capture others. once you get within 5 levels of creatures they'll obey you again!
So I need to catch a creature of 17-22 level?
What about bags problem? My bags are full, and that s why I can't refine resources for crafting better bags.
Healer should be able to catch up quicker with XP if your roster is overleveled, they gain more xp healing higher level creatures and capturing higher level ones. Having items helps heal more as well of course.
We can adjust how many slots the bags give you, but if you're struggling with space it's best to focus on one material to gather/refine so you can craft more bags, then switch it up to both.

I don't think my XP grow. Secondly, I need like 20 active critters (which isn't possible) to defeat one as they all don't obey.
This guy killed 7 or 8 my critters without losing a single point of health.
Are you healing your creatures? Your xp should grow from that - or attempting to capture normal creatures. You're close to lvl 18 which will enable some creatures to attack again. Just take a break from building and heal :D (unless there's a bug I'm not seeing)

Got it! Yes, I've got more XP by applying Revive potions.
It means using Revive potions for critters, right? or is there another button?

Have you not been healing them? simply clicking on the active creature which spends healer mana. It's not as obvious for everyone I noticed.
Nice to see progress in development and I feel that with AI now projects can be fast paced to the market. Hope to see a lot of new projects on the Hive blockchain in the near future. Good luck!
I didn't know that :D I see now - this healing option really increases XP + helps to keep the critter alive in the fight.
How can I focus on one material?
On each of your creatures you can select what they do, focusing on one thing may not be most optimal as creatures are more efficient at different things, but to temporarily boost output you can make all creatures focus on mining ore and refining ore for instance or gather and refine herbs in this case to focus on bag materials and healer items!
That was obvious from the very beginning.
I mean can I choose a certain resource to create? Wool, for example. I caught sheep hoping they would produce some wool.... have no idea if that assumption was right.
I think wool was a drop chance only but can't check at the moment on my phone, the others come from refinement.

So if you are interested, what players might wonder about.... A question on the strategy. Should I release critters with low rarity to free space for rarer ones? Should I keep trying to catch very rare or better to develop critters with average rarity?

If you didn't know I've been getting downvoted for a long time on Hive
They have been trying to bully me with downvotes and words but it doesn't affect me I've been online for over 25 years

If you didn't know I've been getting downvoted for a long time on Hive
They have been trying to bully me with downvotes and words but it doesn't affect me I've been online for over 25 years

After putting some hours in i like how well thought and balanced the game is for alpha. My only complaint is catching wilds early is punishing... maybe take into account healer level compared to wild level? Nothing worse that losing 80% of your attempts to get a creature and never being able to save dust because you just cant catch anything. Ive noticed a huge difference when youre just starting and you miss your first 4 or 5 and the game just doesnt progress until you can get a 2nd and 3rd creatre.

Another thing, I play on PC and mobile. On PC I use mobile browser because the option to sell items is easier. While battling the screen keeps moving up and down and has caused me to click the wrong item to sell multiple times. Seems to be during combat only. The left side with your team lineup moves a lot because of the team sorting options dissappearing between enemies. The right side Doesn't move if youre at the top of the screen but for some reason if youre below the team sorting then it does move. May also have to have a team size of at least 16.
