I got interested in drawing something that feels deep, calming and a little ominous 😁 take a look at this quiet cabin tucked away under a massive, silent and dark sky. I drew this scene because I wanted to capture that feeling of complete isolation chirp chirp cricket...where the rest of the world completely fades out and it’s just you, a warm fire inside, and the cold night air. It is peaceful but dark like wrapped up in a dark blanket of blue.
Instead of making everything perfectly straight and rigid, the steep angle of the cabin and the giant, dancing stars represent how overwhelming nature feels when you're all alone out there did you get me?. The messy, textured brushstrokes in the deep night sky and the wild purple brush growing out front aren't meant to look perfect; they carry the heavy, quiet emotion of a midnight escape. It’s a little bit lonely, but mostly, it's a cozy refuge from a loud world.
