Aphis planthoppers attack is very harmful among farmers and plantations. Even today the government is trying to help farmers to overcome the pests of planthopper in Indonesia by spraying pesticides using dragonflies. 
At that time, rice production in Indonesia was so high that Indonesia became the largest rice exporter country in Asia so that Indonesia was dubbed the Asian Tigers.
