Attacking a Weakened Position

Greetings to all chess fans. Here again for an analysis of a recent game I played in chess.com. This game struck me because of the clear plan of attack I had during the game.

The game started with 1. d4 Nf6 2. e3 d5 3. Bd3 c6 4. Nd2 Bg4 5. f3 Bh5 6. c3

The best move would be Nd7 followed by e5 to challenge the center. 6. ...e6 7. Qc2 Bg6

White has control of b1-h7 diagonal so I decided to exchange the bishops. 8. f4 Bxd3 9. Qxd3 Nbd7 10. Ngf3 Be7 11. h3

Here I felt White created a weakness on the dark squares so I decided to attack on the King side. 11. ...Nh5 12. O-O Ng3 13. Rf2 Nf6 14. Kh2 Nfe4

My knights occupy nice squares. The g3 square is pretty weak and here I decided not to castle and open the g file. 15. Nxe4 Nxe4 16. Re2 Bh4

The immediate g5 looks better. 17. b3 Rg8 18. Ba3 g5

Opens the g file and Black has a strong attack. 19. Nxh4 gxh4 20. Rg1 Qf6

My queen joins the attack via Qf6-Qg7 21. c4 Ng3 22. Rf2 Qg7 23. Bd6

White blunders a piece and hastened his loss. Either Nf5 or Ne4 wins. 23. ...Nf5 24. Be5 Qg3+ 25. Kh1 Qxf2 { Black wins. } 0-1
