Inambakan Falls: Capture the Raw beauty of Ginatilan's Pristine Paradise

Hello, Hivers! It’s been a while since I last shared something on my journey blog, and I really missed writing about my adventures. Just a few days ago, I had the chance to travel again and I’m excited to tell you about one of my trips. It was refreshing, fun and truly memorable so join me as I share this experience.

After our four day seminar in Samboan,Cebu my colleagues and I decided to take a short trip to one of the South’s most famous natural attraction the Inambakan Falls.

Inambakan Falls is located in Barangay Calabawan, Ginatilan, Cebu. It drops about 100 feet into a clear, blue pool and is surrounded by majestic nature. According to our Tour guide, "Inambakan" comes from the Cebuano word "ambak" (to jump), referring both to the water’s leap and visitors cliff jumping activities.

It has five levels in total, each with unique pools and jump spots. We only stayed at Level 1 because going higher was already too tiring for us. The entrance fee is 50 pesos per person. Parking costs 10 pesos for a motorbike and 30 pesos for a car. Their operating hours are from 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily.

They also have cottages for rent where visitors can eat. It was perfect timing because when we arrived, we were the only ones visiting the falls.

My colleagues and I truly enjoyed the view. After the seminar, our minds felt recharged while gazing at the falls. The fresh air was so relaxing. Our eyes were delighted by the sight of the trees surrounding the falls. We immediately decided that someday we will come back here to finally swim. For now, we only managed to take pictures of the view.

It feels so wonderful to discover a travel destination that is not yet too commercialized. You can truly see the simplicity of the place and sometimes what really attracts tourists is the peacefulness of the surroundings. Inambakan Falls is truly a gem. You can simply sit on the rocks while meditating. Trying to connect with nature is the best therapy.

Unlike the other Falls in Cebu, which is often crowded with tourists, Inambakan Falls retains a sense of tranquility and raw natural charm, making it ideal for those seeking a more intimate encounter with nature. The trek to reach these five level tiers adds an element of adventure, letting visitors enjoy the greenery and wildlife. It is not only a spot for swimming and photography but also a place to experience nature closely. This mix of beauty, calmness, and exploration makes Inambakan Falls truly unique and remarkable.

One of the best things about this destination is the people of Ginatilan, who warmly welcome visitors from different places. They are very friendly, and you can truly see how much they love their hometown because they have preserved the falls without disturbing its natural state. Instead of changing the area, they chose to protect its raw beauty. Aside from promoting their municipality, they also want to show that practicing nature conservation is very important. I truly love Inambakan Falls.

May this blog inspire you to visit, explore, and appreciate the beauty of nature while also practicing conservation. Until the next adventure, thank you for joining me on this journey!
