Implementing Syde(An online Forum) in Flutter
What is the project about?
Most times as developers and tech enthusiasts, we want to share our experiences; what we are building, learning, reading etc
Also as developers, we would love to Connect with other developers in the tech space. To bridge that gap, I decided to build "Syde".
Syde is a mobile application that will serve as an online tech community for developers and tech enthusiast.
Users get to sign in using Google authentication. After successful authentication, users can then navigate the features of the platform. Enlisted are made available to users.
- Users can create a thread with their experiences and share in the community. This could be what they are working on, what they are learning. issues or anything related.
- Users can engage in the general chat group
- Users can view other users profile
- Users can directly message other users
- Users can create Todos via the platform
- Users get notifications on tech events, jobs etc

Technology Stack
- Android Studio
- Flutter: Flutter is google mobile framework for building beautiful cross-platform apps
- FireBase: Firebase will provide us with online backend functionality such database, cloud functions, authentication, real-time functionalities etc
- SQFlite : this is flutter version of SQLite. This will enable local storage on the phone
- RxDart : RxDart is used for reactive programming
- BLOc pattern is used as the architectural pattern for layering the app.

Roadmap
The screenshots above show the current state of the application. I will work towards implementing all the features as described in above. More attention would be given to the layouts and presentation of the app, to improve the user's experience. Some of the updates to expect are:
- Searching all posts
- Persisting user post
- Providing different layouts
- ToDo for users to track their daily progress
- Push Notifications
- Posts sharing
- Users dashboard
- Searching all users
- Direct Messaging with Users
- ChatGroup
- Bookmarking post
