Can you solve this math riddle/puzzle???

I thought of this riddle today at school while I was bored because I had nothing to do. Can you solve it??? What method did you used??? I mean i am pretty sure that there are multiple ways to solve it but I used one way to get the answer. Also how do you interpret the answer you got???
