Neurotransmission

Today I wrote a paper comparing the similarities and differences between generalized anxiety disorder and panic disorder, of which I have both. The neurotransmitter, serotonin, has been found to play a key role regarding the etiology of these disorders. Serotonin controls thoughts, mood, and behavior. The use of selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors is a common form of treatment. SSRI's block the reabsorption of serotonin, which helps to increase its levels. The use of SSRI's can be used in conjunction with psychological interventions such as cognitive behavioral or psychodynamic approaches.
Anyhoo, I also created a song. I recently got some new sound packs and I was experimenting with them. Most of the sound libraries I used in this piece are from Native Instruments and I used Logic to record them.
