Depression: My Struggle.
A bit about my story. I talk about my symptoms and struggles. I am hoping that this video will help other youth, parents of youth and adults who struggle with undiagnosed depression.

Exploring other people narratives regarding their struggles with depression is an excellent way to provide insight and added context to one's own struggles. Thanks for sharing yours. For me, one of the biggest realizations I've come to is that 1) I don't believe or expect that my depression will ever go away entirely. 2) As such, it is about developing the best mechanism possible to deal with the situation. I personally think that a large part of depression is perception. With that in mind, I've made lots of progress by eliminating meds altogether and working to reconfigure my perception, diet and lifestyle. To rework and improve my perception, I've leaned heavily on meditation. It is definitely a difficult method to embrace (especially if you are in a horrible mindset to begin with), however, I feel if you really put the work into it, stay consistent and work through your own thoughts/perceptions of the world around you, meditation can be a very powerful tool. Thanks for your insight Daniel. I think that there might be different ways that work for different people. For me, it wasn't about my thought process. My body shut down. I was I'm the best shape out of anyone on my basketball team and I ate a healthy diet. My mind caused my body to shut down. In my case, I believe medication would have been necessary
think many are more acceptability of depression if they are hypersensitive to emotions. I have been depressed for years and am sensitive and had a bad childhood , but in recent years I have found out a lot hove to deal whit it, and are of my medications. with breathing exercises and learning how the stress settles in the body. long time psychologist therapy and exercise.
BTW to day I was the psychologist and get but mediocre hypnosis was very strange but it helpt me calm me down.
