The death zone experience - Mount Everest

Camp 3, 27,200 feet, the last camp before the summit of Mount Everest, situated in the depth of the death zone. Its so high up and the oxygen saturation in the air is so low, all your bodily and mental processes are shutting down, you are on a borrowed time, your body is dying slowly. No life on the planet is built to survive on this altitude.

I remember, removing the boots took me an excruciating 15 minutes. I thought to myself, if untying my shoe lace is getting me out of breathe, how the hell will I be able to climb the remaining 2000 feet throughout the night?

Ah, amazing memories. Tough times makes good stories.
