Cardano
Cardano, his full name Girolamo Cardano (1501-1576) is an Italian mathematician and physicist. In 1545 he published the book "Ars Magna." In the book he describes how to solve equations of citrate and cubic equations 4 and 3 in sequence.This result is often seen as the initial limitation of modern mathematics, also known for his interest Will be a game of guessing and astrology.
In 1570, Cardano was arrested for being considered heresy. He languished in prison for several months and was no longer allowed to publish books.
