My witness is no more - Leaving crypto
Just giving a heads you to anyone who votes for my witness @shmoogleosukami that it is now disabled and will be indefinitely.
The other witness I manage @helpie-caster will also be disabled from this point but may return depending on what the owner of the account does. I'm sure they will provide their own update on their future plans.
Like I said in my previous post, I'm done with crypto as a whole due to the amount of stress it brings to my life.
It's not because hive is failing or anything. Far from it, HIVE has a lot of positives in the pipeline that while are taking longer than anyone we hoped to come to fruition, they are still happening and some are extremely close to beginning to make an impact on hive as a whole.
But I won't be here to see it. I've taken the executive decision to simplify my life down to the things I can manage now given my chronic illnesses and declining health.
Wish HIVE all the best in the future.

It sounds like you've made a thoughtful decision, which is completely understandable.
The community will miss your contributions, but your health and peace of mind come first.
Thank you for all you did. Take care of yourself and focus on what brings you joy and comfort.
Wishing you all the best in your journey ahead!

This is a difficult post to read, but it’s an important one.
@itsshmoogle, I discovered your account today for the first time. I had never seen it before, and honestly, your words made me stop and reflect.
You’ve made a choice that not many people have the courage to make, prioritizing your health and peace of mind above everything else. That is not weakness; that is wisdom.
I want to share something not a verified report, just my personal observation from going through older Hive blocks. Looking at past posts and their voters, it seems that about 90 to 95% of the early users are simply no longer here. The names that used to vote and the people who used to post have largely disappeared over time. This is just my interpretation of the chain's history; it is not official. I am only about one year into Hive myself, so I never experienced that earlier era. However, as a newcomer, I can feel the impact of what the early community built.
Now, one of the people who genuinely contributed, a witness, is also stepping back. That adds to this feeling.
But I want to be clear: your work was not unnoticed. Running a witness, managing @helpie-caster, and being present for this chain is significant. Hive's foundation carries the contributions of people like you, even when they are gone.
I’m building HivePostify.cloud, Pakistan's first Web3 social and freelancing platform on Hive. Posts like yours remind me why this community needs to care for its members, not just its technology.
You mentioned that HIVE has positive developments ahead. I believe that too. I hope that one day, when things are easier for you, you’ll hear good news about this chain from afar and smile.
Take care of yourself first. Always.
Wishing you peace, health, and rest.
