go backwards ?

at a certain point in life, working long hours and meeting less new people, one usually moves backwards in the love department. what i mean is a single person goes back into their past to find some romance. i have seen countless singles rekindle old flames, as it may seem that he/she just dosen't have the time (or energy) to go through the whole "meet, date & hope" process ...again...again....& again......

what are your thoughts on this?
