Probability of Attendance

Many researches show that when we see a problem in our current environment, our chance to be a spectator and our response time are directly proportional to the number of people in the environment.

So no matter how many people in that environment, we do nothing. According to Darley and Latane, this is too complex to be explained only by insensitivity or fear.

As a result of these two researchers' research, they have found two reasons behind the unresponsiveness to such negativities. The first is the dissemination of responsibility due to the presence of many people in the environment.

This is why anybody will help, throwing the ball to the other with the thought that I'm not the only one, and waiting for each other to interfere.
