Slowing down is better than rushing
Always running
Life seems so, busy. I remember the days when I could not care about what would happen tomorrow, no dread about building up a pension pot, no need to care for expectations from family, at least not to the same extent as now.
There are these moments in life where I can just slow down and observe. Usually during these moments my pupils expand and I enter some sort of trance state if you may say so. I barely do anything and yet, it feels so relaxing watching everything around me moving. It’s a strange, yet pleasant feeling. It’s almost as if, for a moment, I leave the cage of the life that I was assigned, one of wage slavery and giving most of my life to someone else.
Now it’s not to say that this is a permanent solution , it’s more of a reminder of what slowing down actually feels like.
Years ago, I went on a trip with my parents, we went up a mountain, first time that I had ever done so. I remember the view from the top was amazing. It was a sunny day, barely any clouds in the early afternoon. Whilst my family was talking and playing around, I sat next to a small river and watched it flow. I remember thinking how the life goes on and is so busy. Constantly running and chasing. I realised that day that truly, all I wanted was some peace and quiet, no fancy gadgets, no expensive meals, no super cars. I just wanted more of my life to be like this, slow and peaceful.

I would like to have more of these moments, up until now, everyone else had dictated to me how my life should be going but it I refuse to let that be the case. Let's see how far this journey of mine will take.
