The music box

The music box emitted a gloomy waltz from the church organ.

The notes seemed to pierce my soul with their mournful melody.

Suddenly, the tiny dancer came to life on the small stage.

Her movements were graceful, almost hypnotic.

Something about her dance sent shivers down my spine.

Her empty eyes stared at me as I followed the rhythm of that somber sound.

Then, with an eerie crackle, his head turned at an unnatural angle, facing me.

A high-pitched, maniacal laugh burst from his lips as he approached with faltering steps.

The waltz became deafening as his bony hands clamped around my neck.
