Introductions can be awkward

You meet someone for the first time and there's a hint of nervousness, but at least you can see their faces to know how well they are responding to your nervousness.

How do you do that in a place with strangers who you can't see?

So here goes nothing.

Hi, I'm Nkem.

I currently work as a UX Researcher for a digital bank in Nigeria.

My life is littered with a litany of hobbies with include reading, music, attempting to paint or solving puzzles.

You would also find me trying to write different stories and my drafts are full of things that might become gems or be trash.

I also love to dance and I'm constantly looking for opportunities to so do.

Exercise and good food are very important to me. So I am constantly testing recipes and trying out new meals. This stir-fry shrimp pasta is one of my favourite things to make:

On the flip side, sugar is one of the best things in this life. Here I am trying to get ice-cream and milkshakes. Sweet treats are so yum 🥺

I enjoy conversations with people. People confund yet annoy me.
It's a hate-love affair, but what can I do? We are the most interesting things on the planet, for now.

I don't know what I would use this platform for specifically but I know that it would serve as an extension of my Twitter account where I ramble about a large number of things including my family, things I'm reading, sex and body positivity.

And like I do with all things I don't understand, the goal here is to use the platform as much as I need to and then figure things out.

I am somewhat happy to be here and I look forward to meeting other interesting people as well.
