According to Bleeping Computer, a hacker (or hackers) has tricked Ethereum users into sending them nearly $500,000 worth of ether. The scheme involved the hack of various online properties of the Enigma project.
According to CoinDesk, the price of monero shot up by over 80 percent this morning after South Korean exchange Bithumb announced that they will launch trading of the privacy-focused cryptocurrency later this month.
According to CoinDesk, Japaneses cryptocurrency exchange BitFlyer is set to expand to the United States. According to the exchange, they will be eligible to operate in 34 states when they launch sometime in the Fall of this year.
According to the New York Times, hackers have discovered that it’s easy to hijack mobile phone numbers, which are often used as a critical part of the security for online accounts. After taking control of a victim’s online accounts, hackers are often able to seize the victims digital assets such as bitcoin.
