¡Buenas y mejores amigos de esta genial comunidad! Tenía tiempo sin pasar por acá y desde la semana pasada he estado viendo los distintos aportes musicales, y de verdad que me han inspirado a participar una vez más por estos lares. Sé que es el último día, pero la temática me llamó mucho la atención, propuesta por @jetta.amaya. Y no sé si soy yo nada más, pero todo el tema de los géneros musicales siempre es un enredo. Y tal enredo afecta entonces a la llamada música urbana, cuyo nombre probablemente surgió por alguna querella cultural en algún(os) país(es) muy, muy lejano. Así que cuando leí la temática, estuve confuso un rato (casi toda la semana, ehem) sobre qué podría escoger. Y vi varias entradas, algunas con música latina y afro, así que escogí justo una mezcla de ambas jeje. Y esto ya que estos orígenes son raíz de la mayoría de géneros llamados urbanos en la actualidad.

Entonces revisé mi lista de canciones por montar (espero algún día montar todas) en búsqueda de algo afro-latino y me topé con la del título. Por lo que les traigo este hermoso tema: "A la luna yo me voy". Curioso que durante la grabación pareciera que ya estoy en la luna y no deseando ir, pero eso es debido a que estaba algo cansado por haber hecho unas cuantas tomas ya.

Debo agregar que disfruté mucho haciendo la percusión, tanto en el cuatro como en el cajón, son dos instrumentos relativamente nuevos para mí, y me encanta descubrir la naturaleza de la percusión en todos los instrumentos, así que cualquier locura que salga, le echo la culpa a la música misma, jeje. Bueno, espero disfruten este regalito musical tanto como yo disfruté (por lo menos los primeros 30 minutos y los últimos 30 minutos) creándolo. Y por último, debo mencionar que cambié la letra del último verso solo para personalizarla un poco. Sin más que agregar, dejo la letra original y autores debajo. -c desvanece-

Hello there, dear and even better friends of this fantastic community. It's been a while since I stopped by, and I've been checking out the various musical contributions since last week. They've truly inspired me to participate once again. I know it's the last day, but the theme caught my attention, proposed by @jetta.amaya. I don't know if it's just me, but the whole topic of musical genres is always a bit of a puzzle. And that puzzle extends to the so-called "urban music," whose name probably arose from some cultural dispute in some very, very distant country or countries. So when I read the topic, I was confused for a while (almost all week, ahem) about what to choose. I saw several entries, some about Latin music, others about Afro music, so I decided to do both hehe, because, a good part of the current urban genres have been born from this root.

So, I went through my list of songs to play (I hope to upload them all someday), searching for something afro-latin groovy and I came across the one with the title up there. So, I bring you this beautiful piece: "To the Moon I Go." It's funny that during the recording, it seemed like I was already on the moon and not wanting to go, but that's cuz I was a bit tired after doing a few takes already.

I must add that I really enjoyed doing the percussion, both on the cuatro and the cajon. They're new things for me, and I love discovering the nature of percussion on new instruments. So, if there's any craziness, I blame the music itself, hehe. Well, I hope you enjoy this musical treat as much as I did (at least for the first 30 minutes and the last 30 minutes) creating it. And finally, I must mention that I changed the lyrics of the last verse just to personalize it a bit. Without further ado, I'll leave the original lyrics and authors below, -fades away-
